STAR WARS TIMELINE AND OTHER THINGS
A LONG TIME AGO, IN A GALAXY FAR FAR AWAY…
Millions of years ago, humans did live on earth. But as space travel advanced, humans left earth for distant galaxies. Eventually, humans settled in an unknown galaxy and learned to coexist with aliens. The Jedi order then originated about roughly 25,000 years before BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin). But without evil, there is no good. So the sith were created. Then around 25,053 BBY, after hyperdrive technology connected worlds in the Core, planets realized they needed a centralized body for security, trade regulation, and stabilization. This started the republic. Eventually, there were millions of Sith. In fact, so many, the jedi order started crumbling. These sith were called the brotherhood of darkness. They were reckless and had no mercy. Around 1000 BBY a sith called darth bane saw this as a weakness and massacred the sith. Then he created the rule of two. The rule of two states that only two Sith Lords—a Master and an apprentice—exist at a time to ensure secrecy and eliminate internal, self-destructive competition. This made the sith more powerful. Then, around 896 BBY, Yoda was born. Then, one day Yoda crash landed on Dagobah where he was trained by N’Kata Del Gormo. Then in 32 BBY, the galactic trade federation blockaded the planet of Naboo. Supreme chancellor Valorom dispatched Jedi master Qui-Gon Jinn and his padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi to negotiate. Then sith lord Darth Sidious or Sheev Palpatine Ordered the Federation to assassinate Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan and launch a full scale droid invasion on Naboo. As Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan were escaping, they rescued the Gungan Jar-Jar Binks, who led them to the Gungan city Otoh Gunga. After failing to convince the Gungan leader Boss Nass to join the fight against the federation, they headed to Naboo’s capital, Theed, and rescued Queen Padmé Amidala. After they rescued Queen Amidala and tried to go to Courscant, their ship had to land on Tatooine to get repairs. They encountered a young slave named Anakin Skywalker, whom Qui-Gon believed was the “Chosen One.” The group traveled to Coruscant to seek help from the Senate, but political gridlock forced them back to Naboo to lead a liberation effort alongside the Gungans. The conflict culminated in a massive battle where Anakin destroyed the droid control ship and Obi-Wan defeated the Sith apprentice Darth Maul, though the victory remained bittersweet due to Qui-Gon’s death and the rise of Senator Palpatine to Supreme Chancellor. Anakin then joined the Jedi order, leaving his mother. Ten years after the Battle of Naboo, in 22 BBY, Obi-Wan Kenobi and his apprentice Anakin Skywalker were assigned to protect Senator Padmé Amidala following a series of assassination attempts. While Obi-Wan tracked the bounty hunter Jango Fett to the ocean planet Kamino—where he discovered a massive clone army secretly commissioned for the Republic—Anakin escorted Padmé to Naboo, where the two fell in love despite the Jedi Code’s prohibition on emotional attachments. Anakin’s journey took a dark turn when he returned to Tatooine to find his mother, Shmi Skywalker, dying at the hands of Tusken Raiders, leading him to massacre the entire tribe in a fit of rage. The Jedi eventually reunited on Geonosis to confront Count Dooku and his Separatist droid army, sparking a massive conflict that required the intervention of the new clone troopers. Although Dooku escaped after a lightsaber duel that cost Anakin his right arm, the Clone Wars officially began, and Anakin and Padmé ended the film by marrying in a secret ceremony on Naboo. The three-year conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Separatist Alliance became known as the clone wars. At the war’s onset, the Jedi Order was tasked with leading a massive clone army against the droid forces of Count Dooku, while Chancellor Palpatine secretly manipulated both sides to orchestrate the Jedi’s eventual downfall. A pivotal moment occurred when Master Yoda assigned a young Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, to Anakin Skywalker; though initially reluctant, Anakin eventually formed a deep bond with her as they fought together on various fronts. Throughout the conflict, the Republic faced numerous threats from villains like General Grievous and the Sith assassin Asajj Ventress, while the return of a resurrected Darth Maul created further chaos in the underworld. The series eventually reached its climax during the Siege of Mandalore, which took place concurrently with the events of this: In the final days of the Clone Wars, Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker became increasingly disillusioned with the Jedi Council and haunted by visions of his wife, Padmé Amidala, dying in childbirth. Exploiting these fears, Chancellor Palpatine revealed himself as the Sith Lord Darth Sidious and seduced Anakin to the dark side with the promise of the power to cheat death. Newly christened as Darth Vader, Anakin led a brutal purge of the Jedi Temple while Palpatine executed Order 66, commanding clone troopers across the galaxy to turn on their Jedi generals. The tragedy culminated on the volcanic planet Mustafar, where Obi-Wan Kenobi defeated his former apprentice in a devastating duel, leaving Vader to be encased in his iconic black life-support suit. As the Galactic Empire rose from the ashes of the Republic, Padmé died after giving birth to twins, Luke and Leia, who were hidden away to protect them from the Emperor and their father. A young Han Solo escaped the industrial world of Corellia but was forced to leave behind his girlfriend, Qi’ra. Three years later, after being expelled from the Imperial Flight Academy, Han joined a crew of smugglers led by Tobias Beckett and befriended a Wookiee named Chewbacca. Tasked with stealing a shipment of volatile coaxium for the Crimson Dawn crime syndicate, Han sought the help of the smooth-talking gambler Lando Calrissian and his fast ship, the Millennium Falcon. After a daring heist and a record-breaking run through the Kessel Cluster, Han discovered Qi’ra had become a high-ranking lieutenant for the syndicate. Ultimately, Han chose to aid a group of burgeoning rebels, outsmarted his treacherous mentor, and won the Falcon from Lando in a game of Sabacc, setting his path toward becoming the galaxy’s most famous smuggler. Ten years after the fall of the Republic, a broken Obi-Wan Kenobi lived in exile on Tatooine, hiding from the Empire while watching over a young Luke Skywalker. He was forced out of hiding when Princess Leia was kidnapped by Imperial Inquisitors, a plot orchestrated by the Third Sister, Reva, to draw him into the open. During his rescue mission, Obi-Wan discovered that his former apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, had survived their duel on Mustafar and now hunted him as Darth Vader. After several narrow escapes and a period of reconnecting with the Force, Obi-Wan confronted Vader in a final, emotional duel where he accepted that his friend was truly gone. By the end of the journey, Obi-Wan returned Leia safely to her family, found peace with his past, and finally managed to commune with the spirit of his old master, Qui-Gon Jinn.Jyn Erso, the daughter of a scientist forced to build the Empire’s ultimate weapon, was recruited by the Rebel Alliance to locate her father and find a way to stop the Death Star. Alongside a cynical Rebel captain named Cassian Andor and a diverse team of outcasts, she learned that her father had secretly sabotaged the station by embedding a fatal flaw in its reactor. Defying Rebel leadership, Jyn and her “Rogue One” squad launched a desperate, unauthorized mission to the tropical planet Scarif to steal the station’s technical plans. In a massive ground and space battle, the team successfully transmitted the blueprints to the Rebel fleet just before the Death Star destroyed the base, claiming all their lives. The film concluded as a terrifying Darth Vader attempted to intercept the plans, which were narrowly delivered to Princess Leia. Years after the Empire’s rise, Luke Skywalker left his farm on Tatooine after discovering a distress message from Princess Leia hidden inside the droid R2-D2. Guided by Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke teamed up with smugglers Han Solo and Chewbacca to deliver the stolen Death Star plans to the Rebel Alliance. After Obi-Wan sacrificed himself in a duel with Darth Vader, Luke used the Force to pilot his X-wing and destroy the Death Star, scoring the Rebels’ first major victory. The Empire retaliated by driving the Rebels from their base on Hoth, forcing the heroes to scatter. While Han and Leia sought refuge in Cloud City with Lando Calrissian, Luke traveled to the swamp world of Dagobah to train under the exiled Master Yoda. The group was eventually betrayed by Lando, leading to Han being frozen in carbonite and Luke facing Vader in a devastating duel. During the fight, Vader revealed the shattering truth—he was Luke’s father—leaving a defeated and wounded Luke to be rescued by his friends. The heroes successfully rescued Han from the palace of Jabba the Hutt before returning to face the Empire’s new, more powerful Death Star. While the Rebel fleet and a tribe of Ewoks launched an assault on the forest moon of Endor, Luke surrendered to Vader in a final attempt to redeem him. In the presence of the Emperor, Luke refused to turn to the dark side; moved by his son’s courage, Vader turned against Palpatine and threw him down a reactor shaft. Vader died as Anakin once more, the Death Star was destroyed, and the galaxy celebrated the fall of the Empire. Then the new republic sent the Mandalorian and Grogu on a mission to investigate imperial attacks. Thirty years after the Empire’s fall, a new threat called the First Order emerged, led by the mysterious Supreme Leader Snoke and his enforcer, Kylo Ren. A scavenger named Rey and a defecting stormtrooper named Finn teamed up to protect a droid, BB-8, which carried a map to the missing Luke Skywalker. Along with Han Solo and Chewbacca, they joined the Resistance to stop the First Order’s planet-destroying Starkiller Base. During the mission, Kylo Ren killed his father, Han Solo, but was ultimately defeated in a duel by Rey, who discovered her own powerful connection to the Force. Then Rey traveled to a remote island to finally find Luke and present him with his old lightsaber. As the First Order pursued the dwindling Resistance fleet, Rey sought training from a disillusioned Luke Skywalker, who had grown bitter toward the Jedi way. Meanwhile, Kylo Ren and Rey formed a strange Force connection, leading Rey to believe she could turn him back to the light. On the First Order’s flagship, Kylo betrayed and killed Snoke but chose to take power for himself rather than join Rey. The Resistance made a desperate last stand on the salt planet Crait, where Luke appeared as a Force projection to face Kylo, allowing his friends to escape. Luke exhausted his life force in the effort and became one with the Force, leaving Rey as the last hope for the Jedi. The conflict reached its climax when the long-presumed dead Emperor Palpatine returned, revealing he had been manipulating the First Order from the Sith world of Exegol. Rey discovered she was actually Palpatine’s granddaughter, a revelation that nearly drove her to despair. However, with the help of a redeemed Ben Solo and the spirits of past Jedi, Rey confronted the Emperor and destroyed him forever. In the aftermath, Ben sacrificed his life to save Rey, and the Resistance fleet—joined by thousands of ordinary citizens—defeated the Final Order. The saga concluded with Rey traveling to Tatooine, burying the Skywalker lightsabers, and adopting the name Rey Skywalker to honor her mentors’ legacy. Now Rey is building a new Jedi order.
