I know that I’m a bit late for the showcase, but maybe I can be added in late. I juste felt obligated to pay tribute to Carrie Fisher after her sad death recently.
I remember being on break. I woke up to a perfect morning. everything was sunny and bright and then I was snapped out of it by the news
So I made this origami Princess Leia as tribute to the amazing person who contributed so much to Star Wars from age 19.
So now I will write a miniature obituary, not for carrie fisher, but for her first and best acting role, General Leia organa.
Leiah organa was born the same year as the empire. She spent her childhood on Alderaan, one of the central planets of the empire. She saw cruelty and responded with kindness. At age eighteen, she became a senator and a spy for the rebel alliance. about five years later, after defeating the empire, she tried to settle down for a quieter life with Han Solo. However, when their son founded the knights of Ren and allied himself with the First Order, that life fell apart. Ever since then, Leia has been a general for the resistance and mourning the loss of Han a year ago. Recently, she died, of heart attack. Ever since then, she has been mourned throughout the world and remembered as the one playing a critical role in the rebellion, and as the greatest general the resistance has ever seen. But overall, Leia Organa Has been remembered as a kind and good person.
I am so sad to hear about Carrie Fisher’s death, and it made me think about how the whole Star Wars story arc could have gone differently without Leia. For one thing, Alderaan may have never been destroyed. The only reason that Tarkin targeted Alderaan was to get Leia to cooperate.
Another major event: Leia saves Han’s life near the end of Return of the Jedi. Without her, Han would have died a lot earlier.
Finally, she was the only factor that convinced Han to eventually support the resistance shortly before his death. Without her, He would never have stayed with the rebellion or gone with the resistance.
I really hope that you realize what a critical role Carrie Fisher had to play in Star Wars, and how she did well with it until the end of her own life.
