Daily Ewok 87

SuperFolder SFJishua

Lester is very similar to Tucker (see Daily Ewok #24) in the way that both are very shy. One major difference is that Tucker is just a wokling, and Lester is a fully-grown ewok. He still gets nervous about being around other ewoks, and sometimes he doesn’t even know why. He avoids ewok parties like the plague and rarely talks to anyone. Lester absolutely hates being the center of attention because he gets horribly embarrassed. When he feels other ewok’s eyes on him, he makes the shy face shown in the picture. Plenty of ewoks have tried to include Lester, tried to start a conversation with him, and he tries his hardest to accept their kindness, to be polite. However, no matter how hard he tries, he just can’t seem to be good at it. Ewoks invite Lester into their circle of friends, and at first he attempts to fit in, but ends up just standing around awkwardly. When ewoks start talking with Lester, he politely answers their questions, but can’t think of any questions of his own. When all their plans to include Lester fail, other ewoks feel bad that they couldn’t cure his loneliness. This is actually pointless. Lester doesn’t mind at all being by himself. He doesn’t think of it as being lonely, but instead as comfortable. What’s uncomfortable to Lester is when ewoks try to talk to him in the first place! I guess those ewoks are right to feel bad, but they’re feeling bad for the wrong reason. What is causing Lester greif is the attempts to include him, not the failure of those attempts. Lester’s situation may stay the same for a while. Ewoks will always keep trying to include him, they will always keep failing, and Lester will keep being fine with that!Lester is very similar to Tucker (see Daily Ewok #24) in the way that both are very shy.
