SuperFolder Stingray

Thought this would be something important to clear up before this persons post snowballs and everyone starts bothering Tom and Sam!
In the olden days (like in the days of the WordPress site and the early days of this website) there was a “real” comment section. I wasn’t around then, but from what I’ve heard it didn’t go well. I appreciate your faith in humanity but the truth of the matter is that people stink. Back when the comment section existed, there were trolls and hate comments. This website is a place to spread creativity and positivity, and the comment section was ruining a lot of that.
“Just add a report button!” You say.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but there WAS a report button. It got misused and people started false-reporting others’ comments.
This post isn’t directed at anyone on this website, and I know none of you would post hate comments. However it has happened before and eliminating comments all together is the best way to make sure it doesn’t happen again. It’s a rule that’s not going to change anytime soon, so don’t harass Tom and Sam asking for it to change. It may be inconvenient, but it’s the best possible outcome and it’s done with everyone’s interests in mind.
That being said, if there is something you really want to say to another SuperFolder, just put it in a post (like I’m doing 😂). People have done that before to talk to me about my art or ask me questions, and it’s made my day. There’s still interaction possible on this site, but because the main users of this site are kids, it’s important that there are restrictions on comments and such.
I hope this didn’t come off like I was mad at anybody – just thought it was important to share 😊
