Hey there! I’m unsure if Tom or Sam will read this. And I’m sorry that I’m not sharing origami, I didn’t know how else to reach out.

15 years ago I was part of this community. I went by “SuperFolder Samy” and sent submissions regularly. I made a bunch of yodas, other geeky characters, even some christmas themed ones haha (Oh! I just remembered I also won a contest for a signed copy of We are not eaten by yaks!). I recently ran across this page and the nostalgia hit me like a ton of bricks. It’s amazing to see so many people still posting and submitting, the community has grown so much.

And I wanted to reach out to thank you. Your books got me into reading, into origami, and most importantly, they let me be creative. I am a dad now, and I’ll make sure to get my son a copy of origami yoda to continue the legacy.

Once again, thank you for all the memories. I wish you all the best.
