SuperFolder Nick_the_Jedi
Hello everyone! I’m not sure if anyone will remember me, but I was a SuperFolder on here a long time ago. The Origami Yoda series is what introduced me to origami, which has always been my favorite hobby since. I used to be pretty active on this site, posting doodlegami all the time, and as the years went by I became less and less active, popping in and out occasionally. I created an account when I was in elementary school….and now I’m about to graduate from high school this year! So I eventually just vanished from this site since I had a lot of things going on in real life. But I was still folding origami! And now in 2023, I’ve found myself wanting to come back to this site to say a final goodbye. So here’s an origami design of mine that’s taken me around 5 years to invent, and out of everything I’ve folded in my life, this is the thing I’m most proud of – it’s a TIE Defender! From one square piece of paper, with no cuts! I’m sorry to say I haven’t made any instructions, (it’s a REALLY advanced fold) but I wanted to share it with you all since this website – and Tom’s books – is where my journey with origami began. I would post more on here….but alas, I just don’t have time anymore. So this is my goodbye. Thank you to everyone who submits origami on this site, both old and new members, and thank you Tom for introducing me to one of my favorite art forms. I’ve been moving on in life to a lot of different things, but I will never stop folding origami. May the folds be with you!
