I have questions for Tom and Sam (please respond!)
Q.1 for Tom:
I have been folding origami for a while, which star wars character should I fold next? (I read star wars legends so you can say whoever)
Q.2 for Tom : What is your favorite snack? mine are Cliff bars.
Q.1 for Sam: How many submitted origami’s do you get on an average day?
Q.2 for Sam: what is your favorite snack?
Q. for Tom and Sam: will there be another Origami Yoda book?
TOM SAYS:
1: I think you should fold all of the Bounty Hunters from Empire Strikes Back… other than Boba Fett, they don’t get folded very much.
2: Granola, esp with dark chocolate, nuts and fruit in it.
SAM SAYS:
1: I try to post 6 or 7 posts every day, but miss a day every once in a while. And we rarely run out of new posts. So it seems like we get about 5 or 6 a day. (Of course not every post has origami)
2: Turkey and Gravy Potato Chips!!!!! But when I can’t find those, I love BBQ Potato Chips.
TOM SAYS: As for your final question: Hard to see the future…. always in motion it is….

TOM SAYS: I love your origami! The best thing you can do to make it better is just to make MORE!! It’s stooky!
I am not currently making another Origami Yoda book, however I have a number of books coming out soon: Dino Poet 3, a not-yet-announced graphic novel and a picture book.
As for my favorite Sith…. Darth Vader, with the Emperor, Darth Maul and Ventress close behind.

Is summer of something, like, a permanent thing? It seems cool!
TOM SAYS: I decided not to do Summer of Something this year, because it was a lot of work with only a few participants.
But I really need to collect all the SOS challenges on one page.

So I’ve got a question: I’ve seen in some ttts that that the 2 posts a day rule is expired. Is it still a rule?
TOM SAYS: Right now there are no rules limited the number of posts per day. However, we do have a bit of a backlong, so it’s best to keep it to one post a day.

hey Tom, I just want to know. I am a colossal fan of Cad Bane. So, what’s your favorite thing about him? is it his breathing tubes, his hat, his look, anything? (my personal favorite is the way he talks/his voice)
TOM SAYS: It’s that voice. It fits him so well!
You know I wrote story from Cad Bane’s point of view, right? It’s based on the Clone Wars where Count Dooku hires him to kill the Emperor.

Tom, You’ve showed us all the real cover stars except Darth Paper. Now you’ve showed us prototypes but not the real deal.

TOM SAYS: Yes, I think you are VERY close on the cover Yoda! I wish I could get that close again!
As for the real Darth Paper…. do you mean a photo of the puppet used on the cover of the book? The actual puppet is at Rancho Obi Wan in California. I have not seen it in years, so I don’t have any recent photographs. Hopefully he is still in good shape.

Hey, tom. After finishing my book, i just wanted to ask you something. I’m moving somewhere else, and I can’t take my Kirigami materials with me, so do you think I should stay on the website, or not?
TOM SAYS: Of course you should stay on the website!!! I’m sure you will find a piece of paper somewhere and make something great out of it wherever you go!

Dear Tom,
When I started 3rd grade, I had a strange obsession with your books, ever since I saw the first Origami Yoda book, I threw myself down a never ending rabbit hole of star-wars and origami. I have you to thank for that. Not too long after that, I bought the entirety of the OY series, I watched all of the star wars movies, and I just folded more origami. These experiences really made my childhood special, and I have you to thank for that.
In my ongoing ecstasy of exploring the OY verse I learned of this website, since then I’ve had it bookmarked on my computer for as long as I can remember, I would check back on it every now and then, still surprised how you still posted on it. Not only that, I was surprised how many people still went and posted here. All these people, now have a community because of you and your books I’m sure later in these SF’s lives they will appreciate the wonders of childhood that you breathed into them.
You, Tom (and Sam) are both amazing people, the fact that your books still influence me as a freshman in high school really shows how much your writing has a hold on people. You are wondrous.
I can’t describe how thankful I am that I discovered your books, I bet the kids that are discovering them now are just so excited about getting into this universe. I feel that you owe it to them to give them a new installment in the series, it doesn’t have to be a book, but it could be a couple paragraphs, WE want to know what happened to Yoda and everyone, please Tom, just think about it.
Ever since I saw you start TTT, I’ve always wanted to make this letter, believe it or not it took me 2 years to find the time to make this throwaway and write this, I found inspiration in a recent TTT that embodies some elements of my letter,
Again, thank you Tom for making these books, thank you for adding color in my childhood, and just thank you for being you.

So Tom… in my letter(have you gotten it yet?) I wrote that my flying Vader is not flying and I already adjusted the wing things and why can’t you make another oy book? Also Sam stranger things sucks nabey it’s cuz I’m a kid(p.s. I made that origami among us from a YouTube video also I’m called game kid in among us)
TOM SAYS: If your Flying Vader didn’t fly, then you folded it right!!! That’s how the plot of the book works!
