If there’s one thing Wayne loves, it’s swimming. This ewok is constantly finding bodies of water to play in. He and his newly-certified friend, Torkus (see Daily Ewok #34) have lots of fun splashing around in the water. Wayne has considered becoming a certified scuba diver, but chose not to in the end. He likes swimming, but as a hobby, not a profession. Wayne would much rather spend his time playing Marco Han Solo or doing cannon balls than being under the water all day. Swimming, not because he wants to, but because he has to, is something that Wayne just doesn’t want to be a part of. He’s totally fine that Torkus chose this path, and he’s very proud of his friend. Wayne is glad that he gets to spend a little time playing with Torkus, he just wishes it could be more! One new friend that Wayne has met while swimming is Jake (see Daily Ewok #62). Jake looks for new fish friends (maybe to name Fishy Three or Fishy Four) in the same ponds that Wayne likes to swim in. They make a pretty good team; Wayne corrals the fish right into Jake’s net. If they seem “worthy” enough to become one of Jake’s pets, he puts it in his bowl. If not, he gives it back to Wayne, who lets it go. Fortunately, not many fish pass Jake’s odd standards, so they aren’t taking too many. Overall, Wayne makes new friends, keeps up with old friends, and can spend time by himself all through the same hobby! Wow!
