Happy New Year!
OrigamiYoda.com had an incredible year in 2025! Among a lot of other highlights… we passed 30,000 posts!!!
The image above is a peek at Webmaste Sam’s control screen. Not sure what all the different numbers mean exactly, but the important thing is they definitely mean we have over 30,000 posts on this site!
I can’t prove it, but I’m pretty sure this is the biggest collection of origami ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD!!!
Where else can you run a search and find MULTIPLE versions of origami Walrus Man or Mara Jade or Rotta the Hutt or countless other Star Wars characters!
And then there’s all the Marvel and DC and Doctor Who and The Pokedex and the Muppets and on and on….
You SFs made this! I hope you are very proud… and I hope you don’t stop! Let’s go for 40k!!!

SOO uhhhhhh it’s December (basically my favorite month) and here are some Questions…
1: Will there EVER be a Godzilla showcase next Godzilla day? Like, where we make all the Godzilla characters?
TOM SAYS: It’s a great idea, but I’m not sure if there are enough GFs (Godzilla Folders) out there.
2: What’s your favorite Origami you made? Mine is Mario for MMM, Godzilla for Godzilla day, and Sans for Halloween.
TOM SAYS: Cover Yoda!
3: What’s your favorite Star Wars movie? Mine is Return of the Jedi (even though Yoda dies in this one.)
TOM SAYS: Empire Strikes Back (even though a Mynock dies.)
4: Try drawing Godzilla vs. Origami Yoda with just a green marker (usually I like Godzilla grey but in this case, GREEN!!!), if not, what’s your favorite Star Wars Character? I think it’s obvious…
TOM SAYS: This reminds me of when we used to do MEGA DOODLES, where I would draw every request anybody made.
5: What’s the most funniest, weirdest thing that Godzilla did? My opinion is the DROPKICK!!!
TOM SAYS: AGREED!!!! No question! Greatest funny moment in Godzilla history.
Most of these involve Godzilla… but he’s epic so.. yeah.

I have a theory tom; so, we know that you are not making another origami Yoda book but… WHAT IF YOU ALREADY DID?! listen, my theory is what if the reader from two headed chicken is HARVEY from the origami Yoda series? think about it… he has a Harvey attitude and he is always complaining so what do you think of that theory? do you think it could be true
TOM SAYS: HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM….. That’s a good theory!!! In fact, maybe ALL of my books are just books within the McQuarrie Middle School library!!

Ok first of all sorry to superfolders for not posting a lot 8th grade is really busy and I NEED TO GET INTO NDP (notre dame prep) for highschool. now my questions are kinda random three for each of you (also im still trying to solve the darth maul mystery Tom)

TOM SAYS: Nellie Bly, the amazing reporter and world traveller.
You probably recieve a lot of mail but if you remeber did u get mine ( if so did the instrux go well and did the origami i gave you look good i picked my best)

I am wanting to write a book but i keep makeing my chapters to short (like 1-2 pages long) how can i fix this also did you ever face this.
TOM SAYS: Don’t fix it! It’s NOT a problem. Short chapters are great! Look how short the chapters are in my book Horton Halfpott. It keeps things moving!

Ok, I have a few things I wanna ask Tom.
1. The Fortunewookie base Odi-Wan thing origami you posted, it is kinda confusing, and when I do it with a quarter piece of paper, it doesn’t turn out right. Could you post a video about it?

2. For the signed books, does it cost extra for a signed book?
Tom says: No extra cost for the signature and drawing, but there is a shipping charge to get it to you.

TOM SAYS: Thanks a LOT for asking. Not many people wanted a 4th book! So, I’m afraid there will never be more Qwikpick. Just those 3.
The fourth Qwikpicker…. that is an unsolved mystery! But Elizabeth is a very good guess!
