Thank you for reading Sam’s post about a Daily Showcase and taking the time to vote!

Clearly, the site is a MESS right now with people waiting more than 2 motnhs to see their submissions posted! (And some are not getting posted at all!)

Sam’s suggestion was to start a Daily Showcase, so that 20 or so posts could be seen each day. The downside is that there would be no way to comment on any one post.

So, we put it to a vote…

The Daily Showcase got the most votes, but it also got a lot of negative votes AND some direct appeals from SFs to find a way to keep the comments on individual posts.

I agree with the people who want to keep the comments. Frankly, I miss the days when SFs could type real comments! (Sadly, that caused too many problems with mean or rude comments.)

So, here’s what we’re going to do.

Sam is going to do DAILY SHOWCASES until we catch up. Then he will go back to doing it the normal way. Hopefully at this point, you’ll be able to submit something and see it posted in just a few days.

If one of your posts was used in a DAILY SHOWCASE but you REALLY REALLY wanted comments on it, you can submit it again when we return to normal.

It’s not a perfect solution, but it should get us back on track! THIS IS THE WAY!
