Journey To The School Awakens
Rise of Kylo-Gami Pen
The End This is Not
By Jacob Minch
I am Jacob Minch. Some of you may know me as the person who turned Harvey Cunnigham to the dark side, and convinced him to make Darth Paper and Emperor Pickletine. Others may know me as Emperor Papertine or the kid who burns down schools. Yes, I am all of the above.
I was sitting in my dark wet Juvenile Detention cell wasting away. I thought about how Dwight found me after he and Harvey’s duel and brought me here to the Authorities for my “crimes.”
As a guard passed my cell, he stood there for a moment. Staring at me. While I saw myself as a Emperor, he only saw a black haired (styled like Johnny Depp’s Grindelwald) pale faced kid. After the guard walked away, I pulled out Emperor Papertine, who had been my only friend in this hard life. We are connected, after all. The black robed origami felt evil and cold in my hands (the way I liked it). I then turned my anger towards Dwight Tharp. I poured all my anger at Dwight into Papertine. Much like how Origami Yoda is real and has powers, the same goes for Papertine. He can manipulate people to following my orders. I thought about Dwight renouncing Origami in sadness of Origami Yoda leaving after the Field Trip to Washington. Soon, a new dark sider was born under my command. Supreme Liter Coke (or Snoke). I then put Papertine into my pocket, and began to eat the dinner I had been given. Stale bread and water from the local QuickPick. Oh joy.
Knights of Pen
By Jacob Minch
It had been over a month since I had last written. I sat up from my bed, and looked through the bars at a guard named Jereald.
“Mr. Minch, their’s somebody here to see you.” Jereald said.
I played along thinking this was some kind of joke. That seemed as likely as Obi Wan Kenobi and Darth Maul becoming Facebook buddies. However, somebody really was here to see me. More than one. The guard left the room, and three hooded teenagers entered the room. They all held skateboards and were wearing pads. They probably think their tough bikers or something. However, their leader who stood in front looked pretty scratched up. He lifted up his hood and I had a better look. He was wearing a black hoodie that was torn and scratched badly. He had long blonde hair and a makeshift black cape.
“Who are you supposed to be?” I hissed.
“I am Jonah.” The blonde kid replied.
Jonah. What an insignificant name. I then pointed to the other two.
“Who are they?” I said.
Jonah smiled “We are the Knights of Pen. We are Legendary!”
The hoods of four were taken off revealing the faces of Mike, Quavondo and Ben. These were people I knew! How could they be evil? I noticed they all had puppets as well. Jonah had a well decorated puppet of Ren, master of the Knights of Ren before Kylo. The rest had sloppily decorated Knights of Ren, which were not nearly as good.
“What do you want from me?” I asked plainly, clearly they did.
“We heard you were the one who began the Origami Wars.” Jonah replied.
“So I did. Why do you have an interest.” I asked.
Those who had and could wield power always attracted others.
“Our Supreme Leader has set in to motion a plan to bring those like you into power again.” Jonah explained, “He’s also looking for an apprentice, you have great potential.”
“ Supreme Leader?” I questioned.
“Snoke. Coke. Whatever, something like that. He’s a new Dark Side Superfolder. He sees great power in you, young Minch.” Jonah answered.
Others making requests of a former Emperor. Pitiful.
“Come back tomorrow. You can give you so called *Supreme Leader* your answer then!” I said, acting uninterested. Provoking their anger.
“How dare you speak to our Supreme Leader that way! Insolent scum!” Jonah shouted, hitting the bars in rage.
I smirked gratefully. They were worthy of my attentions, and the Fold Order’s Supreme Leader. The Knights discussed to themselves, and Jonah realized I was testing him and smirked back in approval. Then two historic word ushered from Jonah’s lips:
“Join us Minch.”
I was back in the game once again, and ready for revenge.
“Of course, Lord Ren.”
Escape
By Jacob Minch
So we quietly made our plan for my escape, and revenge. I sat quietly keeping to myself as they left. Dreading that one of the guards may have heard us. They didn’t. Which made things easier for me. After finishing my same meager dinner, I climbed into bed. Jonah said I would have exactly one hour to sleep, and I was good at managing my sleep. Plus, the beds weren’t exactly what you would call “comfortable.”
My brain immediately launched itself into a dream sequence, ironically. I saw the a burning McQuarrie Middle School in the distance. The Knights of Pen and Jonah were standing around me, holding their plastic Hasbro lightsabers at me. Chanting:
“Kylo”
“Kylo”
“Kylo”
Kylo.
I thrust myself from the bed, drenched in sweat. 12:00, midnight. I opened my eyes, and waited. Suddenly, a voice that I knew was Jonah’s on the loudspeaker.
“All guards, the prisoners have escaped, please report to the courtyard for further instructions!”
I heard loud footsteps, and then quiet. I then heard a door open, and three teens dressed as the Knights of Ren stood in the entrance to my cell, with Hasbro Lightsabers. At last. Jonah stepped in first and handed me matches.
“I know what I have to do.”
The Fold Order
By Jacob Minch
I light it, and the a inferno rose up. Jonah and The Knights led us to some bikes, which we used to escape unnoticed. We were being led to their secret base, built on the far side of town where nobody goes. It was built on a long abandoned tree house and playground, which had fortifications built around it, and nerf canons. It was the first time I had seen all of the Fold Order, not just the Knights.
“How did you get this many followers?” I asked Jonah.
“The Supreme Leader, he either brainwashes them, or they join of free will.” Jonah replied as he led me up the steps of the tree house. Once inside, I was immersed in a world of black and red. The walls a fresh crimson, while the floors an unholy black. I liked this place already. At the far end of the room was a beanbag surrounded by incredible origami pieces. However, who occupied the beanbag was even more interesting. The figure wore a black hoodie much like the Knights, but it looked cleaner and more expensive. In his hands were a Chris Alexander origami Snoke. Caring on with the theme, he also wore a Snoke mask. The Supreme Leader also held a Coke can.
“Are you the Supreme Leader?” I asked intrigued.
“I am.” A familiar voice came from behind the mask.
“Leave us!” The Supreme Leader pointed to Quavondo, Mike and Ben who left the room as if commanded unwillingly.
It was just Jonah and I, with the Supreme Leader. The Supreme Leader tugged at his Snoke mask, that fell to the ground as he stood up from the beanbag-throne. Oh my god. Blue eyes, tangled golden brown hair. The Supreme Leader was Dwight Tharp! Was Papertine controlling him? I think so.
“Young Minch, you have proven yourself and completed the initiation ceremony Jonah tested you with. You will now join me as my apprentice, and a Knight of Pen in training!” Coke/Dwight muttered.
It was something about his voice that scared me. I didn’t scare easily. It was Dwight’s voice, yet there was another speaking at the same time. Deeper and unyielding. I bowed myself before my former enemy and pledged myself to his new way to the Dark Side.
Ben Foldo and The Supreme Leader
By Jacob Minch
Shortly after the initiation ceremony, I had to make a new origami character symbolizing my alliance with the Knights of Pen. I made Ben Foldo in Knights of Ren gear. This is not Kylo Ren yet, though. So, I joined Jonah and he Knights on many missions, like finding the original Origami Yoda. This task has become very difficult. As such, I have been called by the Supreme Leader to defend the base against those who would stand in our way.
Resistance!
By Kellen Campbell
I quietly rushed to the base with Tommy. We were very close to ending the Knights of Pen! I think. Maybe. We had been dealing with these guys for a couple of weeks, and were wondering where there base was! We haven’t seen Dwight either, which is even worse! So now we have no Dwight, and Origami Yoda went away to help Micah. In short: doomed! So we had put together a very small strike team to defeat the Knights.
Tommy- Foldy-Wan Kenobi
Kellen (me!)- Luke Skyfolder
Sara- Han Foldo/Chewie
And that was it. Now, where was I? After purchasing a lot of really cool new Star Wars and NERF stuff, we had gone to take the base. It was larger than we were expecting, with barracks with positioned NERF guns. Buckets filled to the brim with water balloons and a tree house. I knew we were up against a lot, but I was not going to go down without fighting! I motioned for Tommy and Sara to hide behind the barracks.
“What?” I heard Tommy say as I did my complicated hand motion.
However, a disturbance in the force interrupted. I saw four figures walking towards us. Two hooded guys, one weird blonde guy and…JACOB MINCH!? How did he escape? They all pulled out their lightsabers, and a duel began. Tommy took Quavondo (how did he turn evil?) Sara took the weird blonde guy and I fought Jacob. I swung a punch, but Jacob dodged and slid under me. Every time I would get close, Minch would pull off some fancy move and block it. Argh! I finally managed to pin Jacob to a wall.
“What is going on? What are you planning?” I shouted as Jacob wriggled.
“You understand nothing of what is taking place, do you Kellen. The end.” Jacob choked.
What? What end? Well, didn’t have much time before the Knights took me. I’m pretty sure Tommy and Sara escaped. I hope they are okay. Then, all went dark.
Brainwashing Is A Horrible Experience
By Kellen
The next thing I knew I was being dragged to the tree house. It radiated dark power. I breathed slowly, hoping that this was some bad dream. It wasn’t. The next thing I remember is laying down in a red and black room.
“Where am I?” I groaned and sat up.
Then I heard other breathing. I turned around and saw a figure in a black hoodie and Snoke mask. He was surrounded by all kinds of fantastic origami creations.
“Welcome Kellen” The voice behind the mask replied.
It was familiar, and yet distorted. He pulled out an origami Snoke, and it distracted me. It felt similar to Papertine somehow. I felt dizzy, and dreamy. Suddenly, I was asleep.
I’m not sure how long, or why, It just did. I-
