Today’s wokling, Fredrick, is amazed at some of the things that grownup ewoks can do. From being expert marksmen (see Daily Ewok #11), to talented musicians (see Daily Ewok #54), super strong (see Daily Ewok #58), or even ninjas (see Daily Ewok #52), older ewoks never cease to astound him. Fredrick can’t wait to grow up, so he too can have some great talent. He hangs out with adults more often than with his fellow woklings, and measures himself every day to see how much he’s grown. Fredrick is preparing so much to be grown up that he’s kind of missing out on being young. He chooses seriousness over fun, sensibility over activities, and adulthood over childhood. Looking forward is great, but looking back is even better. When Fredrick finally does grow up, he’ll want to have fun memories of his time as a wokling to reminisce in from time to time. If he continues to do what he is doing, Fredrick won’t have any memories. What he needs to do is go outside, play with some woklings, and not be afraid to have fun!
