Hmm, today’s wokling looks familiar. He should, because Cheeky here is the spitting image of his dad, Ploo! (See Daily Ewok #13) Ploo is more than proud to finally have a son, however, Cheeky is a little different than his old man. Their looks are where the similarities end, because Cheeky doesn’t actually want to be a wild ewok! He wishes he could live in a village and not a cave, wear clothes, and make friends that don’t grunt, but actually speak Ewokese. Cheeky just wants to be like everybody else. He’s afraid to ask his dad about it because he already knows what Ploo’s answer will be: No. Cheeky’s plan now is to still live with the civilized ewoks, but not ask Ploo about it! He’s too young to realize that family is more important than his selfish desires. There will always be civil ewoks, but Cheeky won’t always have Ploo. On the sad, sad day when Ploo passes on, Cheeky will miss him more than he could imagine. What he doesn’t know is that he’ll miss his dad almost that much if he runs away. Hopefully, Cheeky comes to his senses soon, before it’s too late!
