Origami Yoda

Making #StarWars #TrixPix because you bought a bunch of Trix to get a BB8 toy…

Okay, so I bought the box of Mini Trix so I could get a toy — and I got lucky and got BB8! — and also because the box is awesome!

But then… what am I supposed to do with all that Trix?

How about an art project? You saw the result up at the top of the page. Here’s how to do it…

Get a piece of cardboard. (Like from a cereal box maybe?)

Now, lay a piece of duct tape down sticky side up. (It can be tricky to get it to stay down. Patience…)

Add another one right beside it, if there’s room.

Then add a third piece – STICKY SIDE DOWN over the edge…

Then fold this new piece back around the cardboard and make it stick to the back….

Do the same thing on the other side. Don’t worry about these pieces sticking out.

Now add pieces to the top and bottom…

Then fold them around to the back, too.

Use scissors to trim away anything unsightly.

Now you have a nice sticky area, surrounded by a duct tape frame.

Pour a bowl full of Mini Trix and start sticking them down…

The Yoda was made by sticking the pieces down wherever they would go….

But you can also keep them orderly and make something Pixel-Style… like me, Mario!
